Born on the Field

ISSO wasn’t created in a marketing meeting. It was born on the field.

As a former professional ballplayer and current Division 1 college coach, our founder experienced firsthand the limitations of existing arm sleeves. After dealing with a partially torn labrum and UCL damage, he tried sleeve after sleeve that promised support and recovery — but most fell short.

They looked the part, but they didn’t deliver the performance, comfort, or recovery support athletes actually needed.

Our Purpose

To transform recovery gear from an afterthought into an essential performance tool for athletes who demand excellence.

What Does
ISSO Mean?

ISSO (pronounced "ee-so") comes from Portuguese and translates to "this" or "that." It's a simple word that points to something specific and is used to reinforce —just like our products.

We chose this name because it reflects our straightforward approach: when an athlete asks what makes the difference in their performance, the answer is ISSO. This sleeve. This approach to recovery. This attention to detail.

Built to Fill the Gap

That frustration became even clearer through coaching, where he saw young athletes dealing with the same challenges. Athletes needed something better — a sleeve built with purpose, not just branding.

Working with medical professionals and elite athletes, the ISSO sleeve went through dozens of iterations before landing on the right balance of compression, comfort, durability, and performance.

What started as a solution for a small circle of players has grown into a movement embraced by athletes across the country — from youth players to pros.

The gap ISSO was built to fill is also reflected in the logo, where the negative space between the intersecting letterforms represents the market void we set out to clos
